Our newest addition, a leisure club set in the historic grounds of Dartington Hall, will offer members state-of-the-art fitness
facilities surrounded by the natural beauty of the Dartington estate. With its blend of history and modern amenities, this new
club is poised to provide both locals and visitors with an inspiring environment to improve their health and well-being.
Exciting Leadership Opportunity at LED Group:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the LED Leisure Group to lead a new club based within the grounds of the Dartington
Trust near Totnes. The facility will feature a gym and exercise studios, with plans for additional future expansion. This position
is pivotal in the development and set-up of this state-of-the-art leisure facility, scheduled to launch in January 2025. The
successful candidate will lead a team of Fitness Instructors, Personal Trainers, and Group Exercise Instructors, all working
together to deliver our vision of "creating brilliant leisure experiences and active communities."
Although the facility will not open until January 2025, we are keen to appoint someone sooner to ensure the successful candidate
has the opportunity to shape the club before managing it once operational.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and motivate a team of Fitness Instructors, Personal Trainers, and Group Exercise Instructors.
* Assist in launching the club, including policy development, pre-sales campaigns, staff recruitment, and marketing.
* Ensure achievement of KPIs, budgets, and customer service excellence.
* Oversee daily operations, health & safety compliance, and facility maintenance.
* Manage financial processes, marketing initiatives, and stakeholder relationships.
* Deliver inductions, personal training, and group exercise classes as needed.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Management or supervisory experience in leisure or fitness.
* Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety in a leisure environment.
* Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
* Level 2 Fitness Qualification (or willingness to complete).
* First Aid at Work Qualification (or willingness to complete).
* Own transport.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Degree or NVQ Level 5 in Leisure Management.
* NEBOSH/IOSH Health & Safety qualification.
* Level 3 Personal Trainer or Group Exercise qualifications.
