Role Responsibility
Reporting directly to the Senior Quantity Surveyor the role of Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for preparing and articulating competent plans for any scale of project that comply with Company and functional procedures and standards.
Key responsibilities for the role of Quantity Surveyor will include:
1. Overseeing the measurement and preparation of valuations
2. Preparing and agreeing interim valuations and final accounts
3. Recording, monitoring and reviewing the financial performance of contracts
4. Managing financial accounts and report to senior management on the project performance
5. Liaising and presenting to the client on the project performance
6. Securing payments from customers within the specified contract terms
7. Subcontract procurement and management of subcontractor accounts
8. Pre-contract pricing and agreement project costs.
9. Mentor subordinate staff
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for the role of Quantity Surveyor will be educated to degree level in Quantity Surveying or possess equivalent experience and have experience working in the construction industry ideally on civil engineering projects.
Suitable candidates for the role of Quantity Surveyor will also have:

21. Good IT skills specifically on spreadsheets, databases and the ability to adapt to bespoke software packages
Our preference is for membership of, or working towards, the professional qualifications CICES or RICS (or equivalent) however we welcome applications regardless of this.
