The Role As a Field Service Engineer/Technician, you'll play a critical role in supporting and maintaining sophisticated systems on naval and commercial vessels as well as shore installations. This field-based role involves: Frequent Travel: Both within the UK and internationally, typically on short trips of up to two weeks, sometimes with little notice. Service Interventions: Installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and conducting acceptance tests. Technical Reporting: Submit detailed service reports and share field insights with management. Customer Support: Provide guidance through the technical helpdesk and develop technical advice materials while in the office. Ideal Candidate Profile We’re seeking a candidate who is technically skilled, self-driven, and physically fit to meet the demands of this role. The ideal candidate will have: Technical Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, basic networking skills, and a good understanding of computer systems. Physical Agility: Comfortable carrying tools (up to 10 kg), climbing stairs, ladders, and working in confined spaces. Field Service Experience: Preferably in marine environments, though other sectors are welcome.
