Join our Hygiene Team at The Compleat Food Group!
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Hygiene Manager to join our incredible site in Crewe!
You will be responsible for implementing and continually managing hygiene and health & safety protocols across our site. You'll
oversee hygiene management systems, ensuring they meet required standards, whilst driving continuous improvements through
innovative methods and collaboration with internal and external partners. Your leadership will extend to managing, training, and
developing the hygiene team, ensuring adherence to TCFG manufacturing standards, legislation, and customer requirements.
You'll implement technical strategies based on customer needs and business objectives, lead audits and site visits, manage the
site hygiene budget, and support pest prevention contracts and associated systems.

Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:30 and Fridays 8:00 – 15.30. Who doesn’t love an early finish on a Friday!
Your Duties Will Include:
* Management of the day-to-day hygiene activities, systems and pest management across the site
* Communicate effectively within site team, cross functionally and within the wider business
* Delivering excellence in hygiene management, ensuring compliance with TCFG manufacturing standards, legislation, and customer
COP’s
* Operate as part of the site technical leadership team.
* Formulate and deliver strategic hygiene plans for the site to drive hygiene standards and deliver continuous improvement in
systems and ways of working
* Working cross functionally with hygiene, operations, technical, engineering, CI and Procurement
* To identify and implement new hygiene systems, ways of working and/or novel/innovative solutions and technologies to hygiene
challenges
* Data analysis to manage performance and enabling continuous improvement.
* Ensure department audit readiness through internal audits, hygiene inspections and customer pre audits.
* Support in product process and design from a hygiene perspective.
* Implementation & delivery of department training & development plans, with succession
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
* Strong technical & hygiene acumen, including health & safety, Listeria management, food microbiology and chemical management
* Previous technical management and/or hygiene management experience at a senior level
* Proven track record of hygiene/technical management in a challenging fast paced environment at a senior level
* Proven ability to communicate and negotiate effectively in reactive and flexible situations
* Experience in complex hygiene management
* Strong organisational skills
* Strong people management skills
* Exceptionally well-developed interpersonal skills
* Experience of effectively working collaboratively, cross functionally
* Proven track record of training and developing a team
