Assistant Manager Brightening Lives are currently recruiting an Assistant Manager to support the Registered Manager in the daily delivery of a safe, effective, caring responsive and well led care service for people with complex needs. This post is a hybrid full time position working primarily from the office and home working. Travel within the North Yorkshire area is required therefore it is essential that you are a car driver for this role. The role will also include on call and where necessary coving shifts for 27/4 service. This role will involve working closely with the Registered Manager in maintaining the smooth running of the service by promoting a harmonious working culture in line with Brightening Lives vision, mission and values. Alongside the Registered Manager, you will coach and mentor the management team in good practice informed by sector guidance, regulatory frameworks and, Brightening Lives policy to enable Team Leaders/ Clinical Lead Nurses to fulfil their role and responsibilities and achieve compliance with business processes. Responsibilities/skills required Support the Registered Manager in the day to day running of the service and to manage the service to a high standard in the Registered Manager's absence. Oversee rota management working with the business administrator and Registered Manager. To lead on the assessment of risk and care planning, working alongside Team Leaders and clinically qualified colleagues for those people support with clinical needs. Manage and take direct responsibility for staff performance & training Undertake assessments of new referrals and reviews in the community. Ensure infection control standards are met within individual packages. Deliver staff supervisions and head-up recruitment drives when necessary. Undertake other tasks required to deliver a high-quality domiciliary care service as directed by the Registered Manager. Take responsibility for delivery of care and staff compliance ensure regulations are adhered to and meets standards of company policies and the CQC. Manage performance and lead the staff team as agreed with the Registered Manager.
