As this job is on site at Hinkley Point C we can only accept candidates who have a full UK visa.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for helping to successfully deliver the Hinkley Point project, ensuring site installation is in accordance with the contract, budget and programme and supporting the Project Manager and Project Lead.
1. Help support the timely recovery of change/costs and any notification and agreement of any programme changes and delays.
2. Comply with the company requirement to maintain a Site Diary.
3. Material call offs (to specification and schedule, and with assistance if required).
4. Gain an understanding of key site records, their purpose and your role in relation to them.
5. Liaise with Buying/production department about stock/delivery problems.
6. Securing and filing of delivery tickets for reconciliation/sign off purposes.
7. Acquire a basic understanding of drawings & key materials used on site.
8. Delivery of site-based Toolbox Talks to operatives and sub-contractors.
9. Undertake in conjunction with PM and Quality Manager (if applicable) Quality Control checks using basic understanding of drawings.
10. Plant ordering and checking deliveries of Plant.
11. Routine plant checks - collation of regular inspection sheets.
12. Gain and utilise a full understanding of the basic project specific paperwork - ITP, NCR, RFI, VO, SQP etc contract specific, JCT/NEC.
13. Quality Checks in conjunction with Quality Manager (if applicable) and sub-contractors to ensure works are as detailed and at quality required.
14. Liaise with Client to ensure access to required work areas as master programmed. Prepare and maintain look-ahead programmes.
15. Liaise with Suppliers to ensure deliveries are scheduled correctly in accordance with Alumet & project requirements.
16. Resource management - assess requirements against look-ahead programmes and utilise those available or reallocate as required.
17. Manage material reconciliation and review against schedules/required to ensure workflow is not interrupted.
18. Assist the Commercial Team with verification of S/C applications for the production of the wages.
19. Support the Health and Safety Manager on site; rigorously following safe systems of work and relevant procedures.
20. Ensure that all necessary checks and forms are completed prior to any work being undertaken.
21. Maintain areas of work in a clean and tidy state.
22. Contractual administration, correspondence and ensuring accurate and detailed site records are in place and completed.
23. Attending required on site meetings.
24. Acting as an ambassador/exemplar of Alumet Systems and embracing/supporting/promoting the Company culture and values.
25. Being pro-active in the identification and resolution of problems.

What we’d like from you
Due to the security clearance process you MUST have a full UK visa.
Basic knowledge of NEC Contracts and Administration.
Degree in Construction Management preferred OR NVQ Level 6 in Site Management or Construction Contracting Operations.
Current SMSTS/CSCS essential.
Ideally facade experience including curtain walling, cladding and windows and doors.
Presentable with the ability to gain trust and respect.
High degree of initiative.
Basic knowledge of Design desirable.
High level of leadership and management skills.
Technical experience and knowledge advantageous.
Commercial and financial awareness.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
Problem solving skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure.
