We have an exciting new opportunity for an Electrical Supervisor to join a national organisation, working within their Energy (M&E) Division, based in Scarborough.

The primary objective of the Electrical Supervisor is to work in accordance with the National Working Rules for the Electrical Contracting Industry, the current IET Wiring Regulations for the Requirements of Electrical Installations BS7671, and the Construction Industry Safety Regulations.

Hours of Work: 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Overtime available at enhanced rate.
Location: Scarborough
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervising electrical teams and coordinating the daily activities of the electrical teams.
2. Working with contractors to complete projects on time.
3. Writing up and submitting daily activity reports to the project manager.
4. Working to Electrical Operational Procedures, safe working practices, and Health & Safety procedures as required by the BS 7671 Requirements for Electrical installations, 17th Edition, Amendment 3.
5. Providing technical guidance and support to the DC Power Teams.
6. Ensuring adherence to all applicable electrical safety policies and procedures.
7. Contracting outside vendors for parts or when requiring technical assistance.
8. Coordinating and completing all site audits and all follow-up actions.
9. Helping project managers conduct Health & Safety inspections in work areas.
10. Carrying out planned and reactive electrical work on all FWN Electrical Projects.
11. Undertaking Electrical duties as required including test inspection, installations, and site surveys.
Experience:
1. Proven experience in electrical supervision, particularly in robust M&E projects in a healthcare environment or similar complex facilities.
2. Strong planning, organisation, and monitoring abilities.
3. Ability to maintain and build good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including colleagues, customers, suppliers, and senior management teams.
4. Efficient and effective team player.
5. Effective communication with all other departments.
6. Enjoy challenges and possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
7. Strong orientation towards quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
8. Ability to prioritise work, work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage business expectations.
9. Adaptable and flexible in approach to work.
10. Legal right to work in the UK.
Education:
1. A recognized qualification in electrical engineering or related discipline.
2. Certification in electrical safety (18th Edition of Wiring Regulations, NEBOSH/IOSH certification is desirable).
3. High standard of numeracy.
4. Educated to a G.C.S.E level B+ in Mathematics & English (or equivalent).
5. Computer literate.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
