What is an Asbestos Operations Manager?
As an Asbestos Operations Manager, you will oversee the safe and compliant removal of asbestos, ensuring projects adhere to regulatory standards. You will manage and train a team of 15-20 members, enforce health and safety protocols, and maintain accurate project documentation. This role also involves coordinating with clients to meet project requirements and ensure satisfaction.

Necessary: P402 and P405 qualifications, 8+ years of experience in the Asbestos Industry

Responsibilities of the Asbestos Operations Manager:
* Operational Performance – Ensure the achievement of all agreed operational performance targets in accordance with key business objectives, service plan objectives, and contractual obligations with each client.
* Commercial Performance – Ensure the achievement of all agreed financial performance targets (turnover, gross profit, and net profit) in accordance with key business objectives and service plan objectives.
* Customer Relationship Management – Foster positive, productive, and long-lasting relationships with clients. Serve as the main operational point of client contact, providing advice on all aspects of asbestos management and managing the relationship and contract with each client.
* Leadership – Provide effective leadership and management through the line management structure, ensuring high standards in line management activities.
* Health & Safety – Embed a strong health and safety culture within the field-based team through appropriate induction, ongoing training, and briefings.
* Management Information – Produce standardized monthly management information for the team (balanced scorecard) and for all clients (KPI reports) to ensure all contractual targets are met.
* Auditing – Support the delivery of robust auditing processes and instill a compliance culture within the field-based team.
* Technical Support – In conjunction with the Head of Asbestos and Technical Manager, provide technical support for surveying and analytical projects, including project management, scoping, and compliance risk assessment.
* Advice and Consultancy – Provide advice, consultancy, and training to clients in conjunction with the Head of Asbestos and Technical Manager.
