Reporting to the Chief People Officer. As a member of the 'People Team' the key purpose of this role will be to lead on the Environmental Social (EDI, fundraising, volunteering) & Governance (Wellbeing, Responsible Sourcing) priorities and policies in line with our strategy and plans, which directly impact our customers, colleagues and communities. This role is a 12 months maternity cover position to start ASAP (Feb 2025).
* Lead the Environmental Sustainability manager to meet all of the environmental, sustainability, compliance standards and legislative related requirements
* Work in partnership with the CPO and Senior Leadership team to develop business plans so that we are diverse inclusive and compassionate in our approaches in line with our policies so that all colleagues feel safe and included at work
* Lead on all new business tenders relating to employee and EDI matters
* To take the lead in educating, training and developing colleagues and leaders in areas of ESG
* Comply with all legislative and Health & Safety requirements
* To research and understand future legislative changes (ESG related) and the potential impact to the business
* Maintain employee and organisational confidentiality in line with the GDPR
