Role Information
We are looking for a Head of Sales to lead the growth in our Hair, Beauty and Barbering provision. Our Hair & Beauty academies go beyond traditional classrooms; they function as real working salons, providing learners with the full working salon experience whilst acquiring new skills with us. We offer a diverse range of courses, from Level 1 to Level 4, and have experienced remarkable growth, expanding to over 10 academies nationwide.
The London academies located in Borehamwood, Loughton, Croydon, Chiswick, Camden & Ham joined the business through an acquisition formally known as The London Hairdressing Apprenticeship Academy the team joined us back in late 2019, and have since become a huge part of our business. Later, White Rose Beauty Academies joined the Learning Curve Group umbrella.
DUTIES
* Support our strategic development plan which sets out the vision and key targets for the growth of activity with employers and strategic employer partners.
* Implement our strategic development plan to grow and develop the targets for funded and commercial provision in key sectors as a result of LMI research and intelligence gathering and feedback from employers.
* Generate performance reports on starts in line with budgeted revenue requirements.
* Responsibility for the management of own KPI’s.
* Line management responsibility for Business Development Managers and Business Development Officers ensuring achievement of KPIs.
* Build strong relationships with all employers and other key stakeholders.
* Work closely with the Director of Academies, Heads of Departments, operations and curriculum teams to ensure delivery of curriculum to meet local needs.
* Work collaboratively with the wider Commercial team to ensure cross selling opportunities are maximised.
* Ensure all programmes meet the minimum viability prior to running.
* Drive the right learner, and right course ethos with all team members ensuring a robust and effective IAG process.
* Contribute to research/development of a marketing strategy to identify new areas of employer need, new products, and markets and maintain our reputation as an employer-responsive provider.
* Contribute to our positioning to be able to respond to the changes to the funding landscape.
* Represent us on various advisory bodies and business forums.
* Evaluating the market landscape (including strengths and weaknesses of competitors) and scope out opportunities to win new business.
* Develop and deliver high-calibre propositions and presentations for existing and prospective clients at senior, executive and board level.
* Add to and maintain our prospect business pipeline and assist in the development of an on-going client-generation strategy.
* Support the sales strategy to engage new clients and confirm the most appropriate training solution.
* Implement and comply with the Company’s Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety Policies.
* Undertake such duties as may be required commensurate with the level of responsibility and nature of the job in discussion with your line manager.

Minimum Requirements
* Knowledge and understanding of the anticipated changes to funding delivery.
* An understanding of the needs of business and the importance of skills to business competitiveness.
* Strong understanding of different funding streams.
* Previous experience in successful business development ideally in the B2B service sector.
* Previous experience operating at a management level with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding challenging targets through their own activity and through the effective management of staff and resources.
* Outstanding interpersonal skills and written communication skills.
* Ability to write business tenders and present to audiences.
* Energy, vision and passion.
