An opportunity has arisen for an innovative and creative Educational Psychologist to join our team based in Livingston, West Lothian. You will be part of a highly regarded and enthusiastic service, committed to ensuring continuous improvement in all aspects of our service delivery to children and young people.
Research is central to our work and evidence-based practice is encouraged and fostered within the service.
You will deliver a service of the 5 core functions to a geographical cluster of schools working with partner agencies and will be involved in shaping service delivery through contribution to the improvement planning process for the service. You will be well supported in terms of professional supervision, peer support within the team, IT access, and opportunities for professional development.
Regulation with the Health and Care Professions Council as an Educational Psychologist is required. The service is accredited to provide Probationer support through the British Psychological Society Qualification in Educational Psychology process.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the West Lothian Council.
