Part-Time Finance Manager (Charity) - Truro - Circa £35k FTE There are many factors to consider when looking for a new role. The role is offered on a permanent and part-time basis with flexible working hours. This is a position of pivotal responsibilities within the organisation and one that works closely with the directors and other stakeholders. Working as part of a small but passionate team, this will be a broad and varied role with the following responsibilities: - Acting as the finance number one for the charity, overseeing day-to-day accounting activity - Production of management accounts for presentation with commentary to the board - Budget forecasting - Bank reconciliations - Cashflow and income monitoring - Monthly payroll operations to include employee pensions - Preparation and maintenance of annual and monthly balance sheets - VAT preparation and submission - Liaison with external auditors and stakeholders -Liaison with all departments on financial issues. The successful candidate will of course have strong experience in all aspects of end-to-end accounting, with a track record of achieving results. However, just as important is having the right personality and commitment to the organisation’s values. This isn’t a role that will suit someone who is looking to 'go through the motions’, this is a role which requires a candidate who is going to be able to make a real difference. Previous experience gained in a charity accounting environment would be highly advantageous, but this employer recognises that a commercially astute Finance Manager with exposure gained in the private sector will also have a lot to offer here.
