Job summary Senior Staff Nurse (Paediatric Emergency Department) We are seeking to recruit individuals to join our existing team of paediatric nurses. The Paediatric Emergency Department is a vital component of the trust this post is aimed at maintaining our strong leadership team at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust. Full local induction and competency-based training is in place. Main duties of the job Working as Senior Staff Nurse in the Paediatric Emergency Department alongside the senior ED nursing team. Providing senior oversight to the Paediatric Department and supporting the Band 7 with management responsibilities of the team. Ability to promote patient centred care and establish good relationships with patients andcarers. To communicate effectively at all levels within the multi-disciplinary team. To be able to take charge of the department in the absence of senior staff. To act as a lead nurse in an emergency or Trauma in Resus.
