As a Warehouse Operative in the outbound team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that orders are picked, packed, and dispatched efficiently and accurately. You will work in a fast-paced environment, handling goods, preparing shipments, and ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of items to customers. About You Key Responsibilities: Order Picking: Accurately pick products from the warehouse using manual or electronic methods, ensuring the correct items and quantities are selected. Packing: Prepare and pack orders securely and efficiently for dispatch, adhering to company packaging standards. Dispatch: Ensure that all outbound shipments are properly labeled and prepared for delivery or courier collection. Quality Control: Inspect outgoing items for quality and accuracy, ensuring that all products meet company standards before dispatch. Inventory Management: Assist in stock counting, organizing, and maintaining the warehouse in a tidy and efficient manner. Loading/Unloading: Safely load and unload trucks or delivery vehicles with the appropriate goods. Use of Equipment: Operate warehouse machinery, such as pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and handheld scanners. Health & Safety: Follow company health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others. Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork and update warehouse systems to reflect stock movement and order completion. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as inventory, customer service, and logistics to ensure smooth operations. Qualifications & Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment (preferred but not essential). Ability to lift and move heavy items (as required). Basic computer skills and experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) or handheld scanners. Forklift license (an advantage, though not required for all roles). Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed. Adaptability and willingness to take on various tasks within the warehouse. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and carry heavy objects for extended periods. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical environment.
