Senior Bid Co-Ordinator – Doncaster Duties: To prepare non-technical aspects of the PQQ and Tender submissions, ensuring that high quality, compelling proposals are delivered to the customer in a manner consistent with our strategy for winning the right business. Formulate and prepare proposals with senior management to secure profitable orders Form relationships with the customer or their representatives to develop clear understanding of their requirements to enable development of our value proposition Oversee and prepare the preparation, coordination and delivery of presentations to customers as required, to successfully communicate our proposals Oversee the establishment, production and implementation of bid management processes Ensure that technical support is provided throughout bids and delivery as required Assist with or prepare documentation for submission to the customer Live the SPL Powerlines ‘SHARP’ values Ensure that considered responses are produced to customer generated questions / queries during / after the tender process Liaise with the Regional Directors to identify and maximise key client accounts Produces bespoke material to support business development and account management activities Research and write supporting information for use in proposals, including case studies, CVs, project best practice and project innovations Proactively engage in knowledge management systems, capturing and submitting evidence for use in future bids Keep abreast of proposal best practice, including guidance to less experienced staff and those from other areas of the business Support the delivery of SPL Powerlines Sustainability activities The Person: Previous experience in work winning / tendering environment An excellent standard of written English, with strong verbal communication skills A thorough knowledge of Word and other Microsoft Office software Strong leadership and communication skills are required, coupled with an ability to form effective relationships with partners under time pressure Attention to detail and the ability to see tasks through to completion A self-starter who can manage their own time and who proactively seeks and executes activities that will add value Minimum of 3 years of working experience in bidding of major rail or civil engineering projects Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel – intermediate level Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ensuring attention to detail Highly organised and able to manage own time effectively to meet deadlines Communicates effectively at all levels Strong understanding and working experience of bidding work for Network Rail Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
