At Tata Steel, we are looking for a Shift Electrical Engineer to provide technical expertise and operational leadership, ensuring the smooth running of our plant and equipment. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a critical role where you will oversee maintenance, drive performance improvements, and support the safety and efficiency of our operations. What you will do: As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance engineers, ensuring that all planned and reactive maintenance activities are carried out safely and effectively. You will be the first point of contact for breakdowns, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to keep production running smoothly. Your role will also involve monitoring asset performance, identifying areas for improvement, and working with engineering teams to implement preventative maintenance strategies. You will play a key part in maintaining compliance with safety regulations, driving a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring that engineering best practices are consistently applied. The Electrical Engineer role will follow a 21 shift pattern covering the site, including Days (7am-3pm), Backs (3pm-11pm) and Nights (11pm-7am). What you will need: We are looking for a Electrical Engineer with experience in maintenance, fault-finding, and troubleshooting in an industrial environment. A degree or HNC in Engineering (or equivalent experience) is essential, along with a strong understanding of health and safety best practices and compliance requirements. High Voltage experience is critical. You should have experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, leading teams, and making key operational decisions under pressure. Strong communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once will be essential for success in this role. Ready to make a difference?
