We are seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to join a our client, a leading provider in childrens residential care. You will be leading a 4 bed, vibrant, nurturing children's residential home for young people with emotional and behavioural needs. About the Role: As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in overseeing the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care, support, and outcomes for the young people. You’ll lead a dedicated staff team, promote a culture of quality and learning whilst contributing actively to the strategic growth of the service. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Registered Manager in the safe and effective operation of the home Support with rota management to ensure children's needs are fully met Provide guidance, supervision, and leadership to the staff team Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and statutory requirements Support recruitment, induction, and ongoing development of staff Foster positive relationships with parents, carers and external agencies Oversee medication administration, safeguarding protocols, and adherence to individual care plans Share on-call responsibilities and deputise for the Registered Manager as needed Contribute to continuous improvement and strategic planning across the service What We’re Looking For: Minimum of 2 years’ experience post-Level 3 qualification, working within an Ofsted registered Children’s Home Experience as a Deputy Manager, Senior Residential Support Worker, or Team Leader Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards) Strong leadership, organisational, and safeguarding skills Hands-on experience supporting external inspections (Reg 44 visits, Ofsted) Ability to maintain high standards of care, compliance and staff development What's on Offer: Company pension scheme Comprehensive induction, training and ongoing development programme 28 days annual leave (increasing annually with service up to 33 days) Excellent opportunities for career progression within a fast-growing organisation Apply today and make a difference where it matters most.
