Finance Assistant Position
Are you a driven and dedicated Finance Officer looking to work in a positive and friendly environment? Sheridan Maine is recruiting an experienced Finance Assistant to join a small team in Southsea. In this role, you will work closely with the Finance Manager to manage daily accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Credit control, including chasing outstanding payments
2. Raising and sending invoices
3. Managing sales ledger invoices
4. Handling invoice-related queries
5. Banking and cash management
6. Credit card reconciliations
7. Processing supplier invoices (purchase ledger)
8. Investigating and resolving discrepancies and disputes
9. Identifying opportunities for process improvements
Required Skills and Experience:
* Experience in a similar fast-paced role
* Familiarity with Sage accounting software (preferred)
* Effective communication skills and ability to build relationships
* Attention to detail and good time management
* Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
