AD and NCAP Performance and Test (969)

We are recruiting for an AD and NCAP Performance and Test for one of our automotive clients based in Cranfield. You will be working for a globally recognised automotive company. This is a long-term contract role that may run for several years.
Key Responsibilities of the ADAS Project Engineer:
1. Support advanced engineering of AD and NCAP:
2. Support AD development
3. Gather data to define AD development scope
4. Retrofit and reprogram vehicle electronics for development test
5. Collect data and make initial analysis report
6. Facilitate alignment of specification fix between various departments within the company
7. Support NCAP activities
8. Participate in NCAP meetings for sharing of latest information
9. Actively contribute to NCAP working group
10. Feed NCAP latest information to ADAS teams and align on latest internal strategy
11. Manage test activities (location, schedule, prototype vehicles, personnel, and equipment)
12. Travel to test site to oversee/support testing activities
13. Prepare data collection report, data analysis report, fixed specification documentation
14. Prepare NCAP latest information report, NCAP development plan, NCAP test result, test result analysis
Qualifications & Experience for the ADAS Project Engineer:
1. Be degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
2. Have understanding of vehicle AD/ADAS systems and its development
3. Fluent in written and verbal English
4. Experience of software application into vehicle ECUs in the manufacturing environment (flashing, coding/configuration, and calibration)
5. Able to risk assess software modifications and develop appropriate test plans
6. Understand network communications and multiple bus principles (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
7. Operate CANalyzer, CAPL, CANoe, CANape, Matlab software or similar for capturing data, analysis of data, and preparing/executing test procedures
8. Follow system circuit diagrams and identify electrical connections
9. Demonstrate practical experience in problem solving tools and techniques
10. Hold a valid UK driver’s license and be able to pass driver training for ADAS evaluation
11. Relevant experience in automotive electronic system development, completing a minimum of two vehicle developments, or demonstrate equivalent experience
12. Good written and verbal communication skills
13. Able to travel abroad or within the UK, occasionally for a few days, but on rare occasions travel may be long distance and for up to 10 weeks at short notice
14. Competent with PC applications, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
15. Self-motivating and self-managing, pro-active, energetic personality, and flexible regarding working practice and working hours
16. Ability to prioritize and multitask between multiple projects simultaneously
