About the Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to students with additional needs, helping them engage in learning and develop confidence in a nurturing school environment. Your role will involve assisting in lessons, encouraging social development, and working closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement individual learning plans. SEN TA Responsibilities: Support students with special educational needs in their learning and personal development. Assist teachers in delivering engaging and structured lessons. Encourage independence and confidence in students. Adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual needs. Work in one-to-one and small group settings to support progress. Help manage classroom behaviour and engagement. Requirements for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant: Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or working with children in an educational setting (preferred). CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level2/3 in Teaching Assistant or Childcare. Any degree in Psychology, Education or in similar field. A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach to learning support. Under Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to adapt to different learning styles and support individual needs.
