About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Piping Technical Lead to join our team at nexos in Aberdeen on a permanent basis.
This key role involves overseeing, producing, and maintaining piping engineering deliverables in line with industry standards, codes, legislation, and client specifications. Key responsibilities include:
* Assisting in the preparation of CTRs and man-hour estimates.
* Creating, checking, and responding to technical queries.
* Checking and approving detailed design drawings of piping systems and supports in accordance with industry standards, codes, and client specifications.
* Providing technical input during detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, and testing of projects.
* Technical and engineering decision-making associated with any given scope of work.
* Creation and checking of PED technical files.
* Creating and maintaining company PMA's.
* Reviewing contractor/vendor designs and reports.
* Carrying out engineering checks on construction workpacks for piping modifications/repair orders.
* Contributing to the development of engineering staff.
To be successful in this role, you should have extensive experience in the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical Industry, a degree qualification in mechanical engineering or equivalent, and good working knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASME, ASTM, API, ANSI, etc.). You should also be able to demonstrate previous experience in the use of AutoCAD 2D & 3D software.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Extensive experience in the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical Industry.
* Degree Qualification in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
* Good working knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASME, ASTM, API, ANSI, etc.).
* Relevant Offshore Mandatory Requirements (Survival, Medical, MIST, EBS, etc.).
* Ability to demonstrate previous experience in the use of AutoCAD 2D & 3D software.
