Site Agent : Major Highway Project : Hampshire
Randstad C and P are recruiting for an experienced Site Agent to join a major highway project in Hampshire, focusing on a specific section of the M27. This is a contract role offering a competitive rate and the opportunity to work on a challenging project within a leading construction company.
Key Highlights:
* Probable duration: 8 months
* CIS payment available (subject to assessment)
* Flexibility for some weekend working
Responsibilities:
* Oversee all aspects of construction operations on a specific section of the project, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
* Lead and manage a team of site staff, including engineers, supervisors, and operatives, providing guidance and support.
* Implement and maintain safety procedures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
* Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
* Identify and manage potential risks and issues, proposing solutions and corrective actions.
* Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion within budget.
* Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, and safety records.
Essential Qualifications:
* Experience working on a National Highways scheme in a Site Agent or similar position.
* Familiarity with SHW (likely referring to Street Works regulations).
* Good technical understanding related to the following work packages:
* Linear Slot Drains and Surface Water Channel
* Permanent VRS (Variable Road Signs)
* Temporary VRS
* Tascar / CCTV
* Permanent traffic signs
