This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with drive and enthusiasm to join the Marketing team. We are seeking someone with energy, excellent communication skills, and who takes pride in their work. You will be based in any of our four offices, working with a busy, in-house marketing team whose primary function is to support the Mercer & Hole brand and the partners and directors.
Main function of job (Note: in addition to these functions employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required).
* The Marketing Manager will assist in the implementation of the brand marketing and business development activities of the firm, committing to the execution of the firm’s business and marketing strategy.
* The successful candidate will be a commercially aware marketer with creative flair in B2B marketing, someone who thrives on coming up with ideas and executing campaigns. A determination to see campaigns through and enjoy presenting on the outcome/ROI.
* A confidence to provide advice to partners on marketing approaches, working across the marketing team and other specific marketing leads to establish ways to embed a culture of audience-driven marketing, creating tools and training to empower and upskill other team members within the marketing team and across the service line teams.
* To lead and develop specific marketing campaigns that will raise awareness and drive leads. The Marketing Manager will identify the appropriate marketing approach, seeking out innovative ways to reach our target audience and develop messages.
* Mercer & Hole is an established business; however, the firm’s fee earners have an appetite for trying new things and working closely with the marketing team to deliver creative campaigns that bring to life their personalities, expertise, and niche areas.
* Working closely with fee earners to understand our target market and audiences, we are not a business that has a ‘one client fits all’ strategy. We appeal to both business-to-business and business-to-individuals; this allows the marketing team to provide the full marketing mix to their work.

* Working with and briefing graphic designers, videographers, and various marketing agencies.
* Involved with management of the firm’s websites; desirable to have WordPress experience.
* Ensure that our client’s brand messaging is clear across all channels.
* To be involved with marketing activity; working with the team on the firm’s annual marketing plans.
* To run campaigns with specific service lines and lead partners.
* Lead and manage the marketing plans for specific service lines.
* Supporting the Marketing and Communications Director in managing and developing partnerships with external agencies, suppliers, and other third parties to execute marketing campaigns.
* Driving Digital Marketing – project manage the firm’s digital marketing activities.
* Preparing business development tenders, working with the partner and team to pitch for new business.
* Measuring campaign effectiveness and ROI on campaigns.
* To sell in ideas and have the ability to push through activity, understand the results, and help evaluate returns.
* Above all, this role is ideal for a dynamic and result-driven marketer who is passionate about delivering impactful campaigns.
* Working knowledge of MS tools, CRM programmes, and AI tools.
* SEM and SEO experience and/or working closely with an agency.
* Good understanding of website content management systems.
Qualifications/education required
* Educated to degree level.
* CIM.
* Ability to work flexibly and manage competing priorities, experience of project management, and ability to work proactively using own initiative and drive.
* Demonstrate a real passion for marketing and brands and the impact campaigns can have on its audience. A desire to make an impact and be part of the team that really cares about what it does.
* Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organisational skills.
* Motivation and initiative – to be able to work in the office and just as well remotely.
* To be confident presenting in meetings and working with the senior team.
