The role:
Working across a case load of major repairs and minor planned works for a Central / West London based Housing Association
Management of a team of 7 Building Surveyors
The role will oversee delivery of surveying services to support stakeholders through the business, including but not limited to; project management of major repairs, project management alongside a Programme Delivery Manager of planned programmes, overseeing of insurance related works, supporting our leasehold team in Section 20 Consultation procedures.
To have regular 4/6 weekly 1:1s, weekly WIP huddles and annual reviews with your direct team members, delivering ensuring we always deliver to a high standard and in a timely manner.
To act as the point of escalation for complicated repairs issues, providing
detailed technical reports as required and clear instruction on how best to
proceed to resolve issues whilst achieving value for money.
Key Skills and Experience:
Recognised technical qualification or professional qualification in building/surveying, minimum BSc, MCIOB or MRICS
Experience of preparing and supervising maintenance contracts.
A minimum of five years of experience in social housing.
Experience and knowledge of tendering and contractual procedures.
