Job Title: SLCN Support Assistant Location: Bedford, MK42 Job Type: Full-Time Contract Salary: £90 Per Day About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SLCN Support Assistant to join a dynamic team supporting students with Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN) in a vibrant educational environment. You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to deliver tailored interventions and help students develop essential communication skills. Key Responsibilities: Provide specialist support to students with SLCN, enhancing their learning experience. Collaborate with teaching staff and professionals to ensure a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Conduct assessments and provide regular feedback on student progress. Deliver targeted interventions to promote communication skills development. Required Qualifications: Qualification in Speech and Language Therapy or a related field. Experience working with students with SLCN in an educational setting. In-depth understanding of various communication disorders and their impact on learning. Experience & Skills: At least 1 year of experience supporting students with SLCN. Strong understanding of communication disorders and their educational implications. Collaborative team player, able to work effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals. Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills. Ability to manage caseloads and track student progress effectively. Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications or training in interventions for SLCN. Experience working with children and young people with SLCN. Working Conditions: Full-time, Monday to Friday, during term time. Role may involve travel between schools in the Bedford area.
