Join our dynamic team and contribute to exciting, challenging projects that shape the future. About the role We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Estimator to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing the estimation process for high-value projects, providing accurate cost assessments, and leading the bid process to secure new work. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure all estimates are aligned with project goals and client expectations. Some of the duties will include: Work with the Estimating Manager and Commercial Manager to improve process and procedure and the work of the team in estimating formulation and strategy. Liaise with members of the bid team to develop estimating strategy and undertake initial discussions on pricing and scheduling of the work to be tendered for. Liaise with suppliers to obtain competitive prices for materials and to manage and maintain a database of price information. Undertake site investigations. Manage and maintain records of all tender details on the Causeway computer system estimate register database. Ensure that all tender documents are returned on time and in the specified form. About you We are looking for you to bring: Relevant construction related purchasing/procurement related qualification and/or membership of a relevant professional body combined with significant experience. Proven track record of preparing, managing and presenting successful construction or engineering industry related estimates. Demonstrates an ability to supervise and coordinate others and monitor individual staff performance. Sound knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation.
