We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Advanced Clinical Pharmacist to join our friendly and supportive pharmacy ward-based team on the bank.
You will assist in leading and co-ordinating the delivery of the Pharmacy service and lead and develop relevant clinical / pharmaceutical audit and research. You will be the key point for providing expert pharmaceutical advice to patients and other members of the multidisciplinary team across our acute hospital at Scunthorpe.
Following a supported structured induction process, you will provide dynamic leadership to the team and demonstrate high quality acute clinical pharmacy skills. Working flexibility to support the Trust’s directive of 7 day working and participating in rotas and/or shift working as necessary, including weekend and bank holidays.
The post holder would be responsible for providing an advanced clinical pharmacist service within the surgery directorate, education, and training, and improving patient safety. The postholder will also support the Trustwide Nutrition team providing advice around the prescribing and monitoring of parenteral nutrition. These roles require excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, alongside sound clinical knowledge, and relevant experience.

The department is supported by a robust management team, Pharmacy technician and pharmacy support worker structure that enables our Advanced clinical Pharmacists to be actively involved in and focus on clinical and professional aspects of patient care. You will be responsible for managing and supervising the duties of pharmacists, pre-registration pharmacists and ward support technicians within the clinical team. You will be responsible for supporting the medicines information services and training pharmacy staff to deliver these services.
