Originally, the business predominantly operated as a refrigeration contractor; the business has grown into offering multiple disciplines including air conditioning, ventilation, heating, plumbing and renewables. We provide full service, maintenance, repair, design and installation services for this entire scope to ensure our clients can rely on us for turn key solutions within the industry, including 24/7 365 availability for critical breakdowns.
What are we looking for…
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Account Manager to maintain and strengthen relationships with our existing clients. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for current customers, ensuring their needs are met, addressing any concerns, and maximizing customer satisfaction. This role requires a mix of relationship-building skills, problem-solving, and a deep understanding of the company’s products and services to foster long-term client loyalty and retention.
Location: Hull – Please note this role requires national customer coverage.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Client Relationship Management:
* Serve as the main point of contact for existing customers, addressing inquiries, providing updates, and resolving issues.
* Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
* Understand clients’ business objectives and ensure they are aligned with the company’s products and services.
Account Growth:
* Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional products/services to enhance the customer’s experience and value.
* Proactively anticipate customer needs and suggest solutions to meet those needs.
* Regularly check in with clients to discuss their experience and offer insights on how they can maximise the value of our services.
* Resolve client issues and concerns promptly and professionally, working with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate solutions.
* Take ownership of problems from start to finish, ensuring customer satisfaction through the resolution process.
Account Retention:
* Monitor account performance and customer health, ensuring renewals and repeat business.
* Develop and implement strategies to increase customer retention and satisfaction.
* Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of services and resolve any operational issues.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to provide feedback and insight on customer needs and satisfaction.
Reporting and Administration:
* Keep accurate records of client communications, progress, and outcomes in CRM systems.
* Provide regular reports on account performance, customer feedback, and growth opportunities.
Skills & Experience:
* 3-5 years proven experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
* Strong understanding of market dynamics and customer needs.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Familiarity with CRM systems and customer management tools.
* Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Experience in sales and customer retention strategies.
* Ability to adapt to new products or services and communicate their benefits to clients.
* Strong understanding of client industries and business challenges.
* Full UK driving licence.
