Days - Hours Working: Two days during the weekdays, and alternative weekends.
Position: Retail Sales & Customer Service Assistant
We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic individual for a part-time, permanent role with an average of 22 hours a week.
Garden Trends is a multi-channel retailer in the garden and leisure industry, selling garden furniture, outdoor kitchens, barbecues, and seasonal products. Our business is generated through our retail showroom and online sales using many suppliers with a large product range.
Our store is based in a busy Garden Centre environment in Bracknell, and we are seeking highly motivated individuals to work in our retail store to promote and sell our products.
The ideal candidates will be assertive and dynamic individuals with some experience in a similar retail role. As our business is seasonal, our store will be busy during the Spring and Summer months when you will be serving and selling to many customers face-to-face. Face-to-face sales are a key part of this role, and having a passion for learning about our products is essential. Full training will be provided.
During the Autumn and Winter season, our store is quieter, but you'll assist our team with other day-to-day tasks, which may include customer service (phone and email) for our online business, helping to add products to our website, and collating product information from our various suppliers. Only basic computer skills are required as all on-the-job training will be provided.
Areas of Accountability:
* Assisting with stock delivery
* Organising and managing stock
* Merchandising goods to a high standard in the retail store
* Helping customers with their needs and assisting them in selecting products
* Offering a high level of customer service
* Ensuring that daily tasks are completed and procedures are followed in a timely manner
The Individual:
* Experience within the retail sector is advantageous
* Good communication skills with customers and the ability to discuss our products. Full training will be provided
* Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
