Job overview
The successful candidate will work with the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and others to lead and develop the provision for vulnerable pupils including those with SEND. They will fulfil the responsibilities of SENCO including direct line management of Associate SENCOs and Learning Support Assistants. They will be accountable for raising educational achievement of vulnerable pupils including those with SEND. The exact responsibilities will depend on the experience of the successful candidate.
Job requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status and a proven track record of leadership success and achievement at middle-management level or higher
* Up to date knowledge of SEND requirements and developments
* Excellent interpersonal and communicative skills with staff, students and parents
* Effective provision of teaching, learning and assessment strategies
* Ability to utilise data to monitor and sustain whole-school attainment and progress
