Tes is supporting the appointment of a Assistant Head (Digital Strategy) to join a High School based in Camden.
The role
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader to play a key strategic role in the development of their digital strategy at the High School.
As Assistant Head (Digital Strategy), you will define, direct and advise on all strategy relating to technology in the Senior School and Junior School to ensure a cohesive technological approach across the 4-18 age range.
Your responsibilities are varied and wide ranging, covering key areas such as teaching and learning, strategic direction and the development of school systems. This will involve:
* Advising the SLT on technology strategy, including the devices used by staff students, the platforms used by the school and the implementation of it's strategy
* Staying abreast of developments in classroom technology, including new and emerging technologies such as AI, robotics, VR and creative technologies in the curriculum
* Encouraging staff and students to utilise new technologies in their teaching and learning
In addition to your leadership responsibilities, you will also teach computer science to Key Stage 3 on a reduced timetable and would ideally be able to teach to Key Stages 4 and 5, although this is not essential.
About you
They are looking for a skilled individual with a passion for technology, who is committed to ensuring access to a range of efficient and user-friendly devices and platforms at the school.
You will be an experienced Computer Science teacher, with successful teaching experience across the full 11-18 age range and a strong understanding of the school’s approach to educational technology, as well as its broader technology strategy.
First class administrative, communication and problem-solving skills will also be essential for success in this role.
