Project Coordinator The Project Coordinator will be involved in the project management and coordination of the planning, provision and commissioning of new school places with a focus around the school organisational processes for delivering assigned projects including the establishment of new school. The post holder will be actively working with multiple stakeholders both within and outside the organisation to negotiate and deliver the best provisions and school places in the interest of the children and young people in Cheshire East. The post holder will undertake and manage projects to develop systems/procedures/schemes, to meet the needs of providing school places across Cheshire East. Coordinate and project manage the process in relation to school organisation and place planning matters, taking the operational lead in one or more of the following: Development of proposals, project management of such and Establishment of new schools; School/Academy organisational change e.g. age range changes etc 2. Act as project lead in taking forward the process of establishing new schools on behalf of the authority by overseeing the free school presumption process where the provision of a new school is required 3. Coordinate school organisation processes, managing consultations and statutory proposals for school organisation changes, supporting reviews and Place Planning Groups and advising on academy conversions and other school organisation issues. 4. Monitor and report on the provision of school places and School Sufficiency including the updating of school capacity information. 5. Ensure that services provided are delivered in an effective and efficient manner to enable the local authority to meet its statutory obligations for school place planning. An opportunity has arisen in the Schools Organisation and Capital Team for a Project Co-ordinator. The Project Coordinator will be involved in the school organisation process for the planning, provision and commissioning of new school places with a focus around delivering assigned projects including the establishment of new schools within specific timescales and budgets. The person will be required to have Project Planning and Management Skills, experience of monitoring statistics and interpreting data, Analytical and problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to work successfully as part of a team to deliver outcomes and in collaboration with other professionals. The post holder will be required to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of School Organisation processes, Free School Presumption process, and all appropriate legislation around School Organisation/Statutory Requirements and regulations. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate project management experience in their application forms at at the interview. The post is a mixture of home and office based working, the post holder will need to have access to a vehicle as travel across the borough will be required.
