Overview of role
Location: Belfast
The role is responsible for distributing James Neills products from the Mill to customer sites in a timely manner whilst ensuring that all site quality, environmental and health and safety standards are met and that a great level of customer service is delivered. To ensure vehicles are fit for purpose and the safe loading and unloading of goods. Loading and unloading of bagged vehicles at both the mill and Titanic warehouses as required.
Key Accountabilities
- To operate to procedures as defined within site quality, environmental and health and safety systems and standards.
- To always work proactively in line with the Company Zero Harm and Safety-First strategy.
- To operate the vehicle in accordance with current legislation
- To discharge bulk flour and the unloading of bagged vehicles in accordance with our company safe operating procedures
- To complete regular safety checks on vehicles and report any issues in a timely manner to the appropriate colleagues.
- Conduct dynamic risk assessments of delivery sites and premises to ensure safe working for self and others; reporting back any hazards/unsafe practices.
- Maintain clean and tidy vehicles, including inside the cab and taking good care of vehicles when operating
- Accurate completion of all relevant paperwork
- To deliver a high standard of customer service and to be a positive representative of James Neills at all times.
- To deliver James Neills products on time and in full within the agreed time windows.
- Support the warehouse function at both the mill and off-site warehouse with unloading and loading of vehicles
The Right Person
- LGV Class C & E driver license entitlement.
- Experience of Bulk Powder deliveries would be advantageous but not essential as training is provided.
- Full 35 hours Driver CPC entitlement is preferable but applicants without a CPC card will be considered if they meet the required calibre for the role.
- Counter Balance FLT licence is a requirement
