Job Title: Health and Safety Manager Location: Raunds NN9 Job Summary: The Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health and safety strategies across all our facilities. This key role involves ensuring that the warehouse logistics operates in compliance with local, national, and international health and safety regulations. You will work closely with operational managers, HR, and the senior leadership team to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and best practices across all locations. Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety laws, regulations, and industry standards. Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions. Lead and conduct safety training and awareness programs for all staff members. Investigate accidents and near-misses, reporting findings and implementing corrective and preventive measures. Oversee emergency response plans and ensure all employees are trained in first aid, evacuation procedures, and other essential safety protocols. Collaborate with site managers to maintain safe working conditions and promote a safety-first culture. Maintain health and safety records, including incident reports, audits, and inspections. Work with HR to ensure health and safety regulations are embedded within recruitment and onboarding processes. Keep up-to-date with new and evolving health and safety legislation and best practices. Key Requirements: Proven experience in health and safety management, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry. NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent qualification in health and safety. Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and risk management practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence all levels of staff. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a passion for creating a safe working environment. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience in conducting risk assessments, investigations, and audits. Knowledge of ISO 45001 and other safety-related certifications is a plus.
