Role - Social Care Assistant (Night)
Location – Meadowburn
Hawthorn House
Orchard Grove
Victoria Gardens
Riverside
Salary – Starting hourly rate of £14.79 (see attached salary details)
Hours/Shift Pattern – 24 hours per week, 2 x 12 hour shifts (see attached work pattern)
Due to the nature of this role and function, there is a requirement to work Public Holidays

Our Glasgow City Care Homes provide care and support in enabling surroundings to our residents 24/7 where you would work 12 hour shifts. This post will require you to have a suitable qualification to allow you to register with the Scottish Social Services Council as a support worker within a care home. Glasgow City Council will provide support and meet the cost for undertaking this requirement.

Registration to the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) is an essential requirement for this role. You must either be already registered or have applied within 3 months and be registered within 6 months from your start date. Please note as part of the local government pay deal, local authority staff are currently not required to pay SSSC fees.
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
