This is a handson role for someone with extensiveexperience in woodworking joinery and fine furniture craftsmanship.As the Head Cabinet Maker you ll manage a talented team ofcraftsmen ensuring toptier quality and precision in everypiece.
RoleSummary:
The HeadCabinet Maker role is pivotal to our commitment to producingtopquality bespoke furniture. The ideal candidate will possessextensive experience in cabinetry leading a team of skilledcraftsmen and ensuring that every piece meets exacting standards.You will bring your expertise to oversee the production processfrom design to completion ensuring that consistency quality andclient specifications are alwaysmet.
KeyResponsibilities:
Leadand manage a team of cabinet makers providing guidance andsupervision throughout the production process.
Interpret and execute detaileddesign plans ensuring pieces meet the bespoke requirements of eachclient.
Select and work withhighquality materials maintaining an uptodate knowledge of toolsand techniques.
Ensure allprojects are completed on time and within budget upholding thehighest standards of craftsmanship.
Conduct quality control checksand provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Liaise with designers andclients to clarify specifications and provide progress updates.
Manage inventory and procurementof materials to keep the workshop efficiently stocked.
Essential:
Extensive experience in bespoke cabinetry woodworking or joinery.
Proven leadership skills inmanaging and motivating a workshop team.
Proficiency in reading andinterpreting complex designplans.
Proficient in woodworkingtechniques including joinery veneering andfinishing.
High level of craftsmanship andattention to detail.
Strongorganisational skills to manage projects and deadlines.
Excellent problemsolvingabilities and decisionmaking skills.
Desirable:
Formal qualifications in carpentry or a related field.
Experience with CAD software fordesign interpretation.
Familiarity with a variety of woodworking machines and tools.
Previous experience in a luxuryor highend workshop environment.
Knowledge of sustainable woodworkingpractices.
