Job Purpose:
Alideck is a leading provider of high-performance decking and balcony solutions. Having risen to become the UK’s leading supplier of balcony component systems, we enable our customers to design and manufacture safe and cost-effective balconies.
The Accounts Assistant will work within Alideck’s finance team to ensure that it is an effective support function to the business by providing key support to the Financial Controller and providing financial support to the wider business. This role will be pivotal in managing the day-to-day finance operations of Alideck.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in day-to-day financial transactions, including processing invoices, receipts, and payments.
2. Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial data in the company’s accounting system.
3. Reconcile bank statements and assist with month-end and year-end financial closings.
4. Assist in the preparation of financial reports and budgets.
5. Process employee expense claims and ensure they are in line with company policy.
6. Manage cash-flow and maintain accurate records.
7. Support the Financial Controller with general financial tasks.
8. Oversee the company’s credit control process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments.
9. Communicate with clients to resolve outstanding debts.
10. Monitor and manage the aged debtor report, ensuring overdue accounts are identified and actioned.
11. Produce regular reports for management on overdue debts, payment status, and outstanding balances.
Key Requirements:
1. Experience in finance assistant, credit control, or similar role.
2. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial regulations.
3. Experience with Xero or similar accounting software is desired but not essential.
4. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
5. Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
6. A proactive, problem-solving attitude and strong communication.
7. Ability to think critically and suggest improvements to current processes.

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm, Friday 9am to 4pm
Salary: £28,000 per annum, negotiable on experience
