Job Description:
Prospero Teaching are working with an OFSTED rated Good Primary School based in Portsmouth (PO2) who are in search of a qualified teacher to take on the role of a reading intervention teacher.
This role will include:
1. Developing and promoting Reading in line with the Schools standards
2. Leading the development of the pupils' reading
3. Planning and timetabling
4. Creating learning resources
5. Communicating the intervention arrangements to staff, pupils, and parents
6. Teaching of Phonics
7. Liaising with the Head Teacher and communicating lesson plans with all members of staff
The successful candidate will have the following:
1. Previous teaching experience
2. Qualified teacher status
3. Experience within either KS1 or KS2
4. A relevant degree or higher degree qualification
Role details:
Location: Portsmouth (PO2)
Position: Reading Intervention Teacher
Contract or position start date: ASAP or September
Duration: Long term and ongoing
Contract or position end date (if applicable): N/A
Full time Monday-Friday
Rate of pay: GBP150+
Hours: 8:30am
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
1. Hold right to work in the UK
2. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
3. Provide two professional child-related references
