The Senior Research Associate will support the management and development of the Department's technical and operational capabilities, overseeing the safe handling and storage of human and animal tissue and ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory standards. They will support the effective management of laboratory equipment and facilities, working closely with the safety team to oversee liquid nitrogen storage and deliver essential training. As the department's Sustainability and Green Champion, the Senior Research Associate will lead efforts to embed sustainable practices and green initiatives aligning with broader University goals. Additionally, the postholder is expected to contribute to fostering an inclusive and supportive department, with a focus on promoting positive culture.
