Job Title: Senior Printer
Location: Lincoln

Our client, one of the UK’s largest manufacturers of flexible packaging, is looking to recruit multiple experienced Flexographic Printers. The ideal candidate will continue with training to improve grading in all aspects of printing. Ensure all pre-run checks are undertaken and signed off and will be involved in the coaching and mentoring of trainee printers.
Job Accountabilities
* Provide printers under training with clear guidance, leadership, advice, and encouragement.
* Coach, support, and identify training and development needs and opportunities for printers under training.
* Control all aspects of the printing process regarding quality, lay sheets, colour standards, and quantities.
* Oversee the press at all times, in person or by delegation.
* Maintain cleanliness of the printing press and surrounding area, demonstrating 'Clean as You Go'.
* Ensure samples required are retained.
* Carry out quality checks ensuring adherence to quality systems.
* Complete all required documentation accurately.
* Ensure all aspects of Health & Safety are adhered to. All trainees must be aware of Method Statements and work to them safely.
* Lead by example.
* Keep the printer informed of all problems and material deficiencies.
* Ensure all aspects of relevant grading are carried out, with questions asked and all aspects of the following grade worked upon, encouraging future development.
* Excellent knowledge of the Prism computer system.
* Complete all required production documentation accurately and on time.
* Work as part of a team, supporting colleagues and sharing information.
* Be flexible in undertaking duties and responsibilities, potentially performing other duties that correspond to the general character of the position and are commensurate with its level of responsibility.

Shift Pattern
* Working 7 days over a 14-day period.
* Working 5/2 shift pattern.
* Week one: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday DAYS 5:45 am to 6:00 pm.
* Week two: Wednesday, Thursday DAYS 5:45 am to 6:00 pm.
* Week three: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday NIGHTS 5:45 pm to 6:00 am.
* Week four: Wednesday, Thursday NIGHTS 5:45 pm to 6:00 am.
