Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to join our team, specializing in inpatient services. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a key role in providing leadership, clinical expertise, and high-quality psychiatric care to adult patients within inpatient settings. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated psychiatrist looking to lead and shape mental health services within an inpatient environment. Key Responsibilities: Providing clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adult patients with complex mental health needs within inpatient settings. Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of comprehensive and integrated care plans tailored to the individual needs of patients. Participating in clinical governance activities, including audits, reviews, and service development initiatives, to maintain and enhance the quality of care provided. Providing supervision, mentorship, and support to junior medical staff, including Specialty Doctors, Registrars, and Core Trainees, to facilitate their professional development. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in accordance with professional and organizational standards. Requirements: Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a license to practice in the UK. Membership or Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych or FRCPsych) or equivalent qualification. Substantial experience working as a Consultant Psychiatrist within inpatient mental health services. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
