An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Operational Leadership Team at Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in the role of Senior Operations Manager.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a pro-active, transformational and hardworking MDT team that make up the Nephrology Team, working across North, East and South Devon.

You will lead the Nephrology Service during an exciting time of change, having the opportunity to lead projects and work on programmes to achieve successful service integration and sustainability across the local healthcare system.
About the Role
The Senior Operations Manager is intended to provide leadership in order to ensure high standards of service management and consistent, optimal performance across a defined range of services within the wider Care Group. This includes operational performance, finance, workforce, safety and quality, service development and transformation.
The post holder will provide strong operational leadership within their area of responsibility to ensure transformative, effective, and efficient delivery of cross site services. The Senior Operations Manager will have input into the development and implementation of the Care Group plan which will maintain patient care to the highest levels of safety and effectiveness; ensure efficient and equitable use of resources; promote a culture that is progressive and inclusive; meet the objectives contained within the Trust priorities and operational plan.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the delivery, and reporting, of patient access targets; a range of key performance indicators covering – but not limited to - urgent and emergency care, elective care including referral to treatment times, cancer & diagnostic waiting times; financial performance and Delivering Best Value within the services managed.
The post holder may be required to deputise for the Care Group General Manager/Head of Service, representing services within their domain at internal and external meetings.
The post holder will participate in the designated on-call rota (depending on experience and following a suitable period of training), taking overall responsibility for the site out of hours including at major incident status.
Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours

Salary: Band 8a: £53,755 - £60,504 per annum pro rata
