A Primary school in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across various KS1 and 2, with a particular focus on working with pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will work closely with teachers to deliver tailored interventions and high-quality support that promote academic, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and deliver lessons across the curriculum in the absence of the class teacher.
Provide targeted support to individuals and groups of pupils, including those with SEND.
Work collaboratively with teachers and the SEND team to plan and implement personalized learning strategies.
Support pupils with a range of SEND, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and other learning or physical disabilities.
Assist in developing and delivering Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans.
Monitor pupil progress and provide regular feedback to teaching staff and parents.
Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that supports the well-being and development of all pupils.
Skillset and Requirements:
HLTA qualification or equivalent Level 4 teaching assistant qualification.
Proven experience working within a primary or secondary school setting, including experience supporting pupils with SEND.
A good understanding of various SEND types and effective strategies to support pupils individual needs.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to engage diverse learners.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff, pupils, parents, and external professionals.
Knowledge of the National Curriculum and the ability to differentiate learning effectively.
A proactive and empathetic approach, with a passion for supporting childrens education and well-being.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
