Due to the continued success and expansion of our business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Yard Operative/Relief Van Driver to join our team at Wantage. The Role We are looking for full time Yard Person / Relief Van Driver based at our Wantage branch.You will be responsible for the delivery of products to customers, with key accountability for ensuring the quality and timing of service is first class. The role includes the safe loading and unloading of the vehicle. Maintains high standards of housekeeping and vehicle cleanliness, ensuring compliance with all legal and security requirements. In the yard you will be receiving stock into the yard and allocating it into the appropriate location in an accurate, timely and safe manner. Dealing with customer requirements, ensuring required goods are successfully located and loaded as per the customer’s instructions, as well as the completion of the associated administrative processes. The Requirements Product Knowledge: Specific knowledge of products sold within the branch, this experience should come from experience in the building trade or builders’ merchants Industry. Fork Lift Licence: Qualified in appropriate fork lift use.
