We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic and passionate individual. The post holder will work across our three intermediate sites: Rye Hospital, Bexhill Irvine and Eastbourne Milton Grange.
You will need to provide strong leadership, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to develop and support staff with clinical and professional expertise. You will also be expected to function effectively under pressure without compromising standards of care and professionalism.
You must be a 1st level Registered Nurse with significant experience at Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse level or a registered AHP on the HCPC register with team leader/management experience. The ENB 998/mentorship level 3 is essential, as is an awareness of the current professional, research and practice issues and an understanding of modern human resource management.
Main duties of the job
The Nurse Ward/Team Manager will promote the vision and values of East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, leading by example and ensuring that they demonstrate those values in their leadership behaviours. Responsibilities include:
* Assessing patients, planning, developing, and implementing programmes of care, including complex patient care needs.
* Providing health promotion information and specialist advice, including liaison with other agencies and health providers.
* Providing clinical and managerial supervision and supporting the education and training of other staff, students, and learners.
* Managing a budget, rostering, and resource management.

Qualifications
* Registered Practitioner on relevant part of professional register (RGN)
* Educated to degree/diploma level
* Evidence of ongoing post registration development at postgraduate level.
Experience
* Significant experience in junior sister/relevant professional role
* Recent NHS experience
