About Corby Technical School and the Teacher of Computer Science role
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Teacher of Computer Science and Creative Digital Media to join our dynamic and well-equipped Computer Science department. The ideal candidate will bring not only a deep enthusiasm for Computer Science but also a creative flair for Digital Media, empowering students to explore and maximise their use of technology creatively. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in utilising technologies such as the Adobe Design Suite and will be adept at integrating digital creativity seamlessly into the curriculum.
Our fantastic Computer Science department offers a highly ambitious and diverse curriculum, engaging students across all key stages. At KS3, we use technologies like Raspberry Pi to teach core coding principles. At GCSE, students can specialise in OCR Computer Science or opt for our recently introduced vocational course, GCSE Digital Information Technology. The curriculum also spans an exciting range of digital subjects, including OCR Cambridge Technical in Creative iMedia at GCSE and Level 3 BTEC in Creative Digital Media Production at A-level. This flexible offering allows us to welcome candidates with a wide range of expertise in digital media and creative technologies.
As a vital member of our team, you will help shape one of the most popular areas of our curriculum. Both our Creative Digital Media courses at Key Stage 4 and A-level are highly subscribed, reflecting students’ strong interest and enthusiasm for digital creativity. With the recent addition of Digital Information Technology and Creative iMedia, this role offers a unique opportunity to deliver these courses dynamically and creatively, inspiring the next generation of digital innovators.
