The Estates Team Advanced Learning Partnership operates an in-house catering service and is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Trust Catering Manager to support the Trust Catering Manager. You will be based at the Trust Head office at Whitworth Park Academy, Spennymoor, with a requirement to travel across all trust academies within County Durham. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Trust and to develop the catering service provided to our pupils. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operation of the catering service within the academies in your region. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR ASSISTANT TRUST CATERING MANAGER Main Responsibilities: Ensure that all areas of catering adhere to statutory requirements and are compliant to food safety legislation, Natashas Law, Health & Safety requirements, HACCP & COSHH. Be skilled in cooking activities across the full range of menu provision from preparation of menus, portion control, special dietary meals and corporate events and hospitality where required. Work to increase up take of meals across all academies. Provide operational support to both primary and secondary academies in the absence of key colleagues and/or where training requirements are identified. Monitor and review key performance indicators, create relevant reports and action plans. Support our students with Masterclasses on cookery to support the curriculum. Ensure all academies provide an outstanding catering experience to all pupils, staff and visitors. Be able to travel between all Trust academies Produce reports in line with requirements. SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR ASSISTANT TRUST CATERING MANAGER All Assistant Trust Catering Manager will: Maintain personal expertise, to be a role model and promote high expectations for all members of the school community through your role within the structure. Maintain at all times, the utmost confidentiality with regard to all financial reports, records, personal data relating to staff, pupils and other information of a sensitive or confidential nature. Gain understanding and support the continuous improvement of operating processes. Be aware of, comply and assist with the development of policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting on all concerns to an appropriate person.
