Duties of the job include:
Providing a high standard of direct nursing care to service users, based on the assessment of care needs and in consultation with the
service users, their relatives and the care team.
Assuming responsibility for the nursing services provided by Millennium Staffing Limited
Continuously evaluating the quality of care given, and regularly reassessing the needs of service users in consultation with the service
users, their relatives and the care team, and to effect change required to achieve planned goals.
Ensuring that service users are always well safeguarded from abuse and neglect and that safeguarding policies are fully implemented
alongside those on health and safety and infection control.
Administering and ordering medicines as required by service users and Millennium Staffing Limited's policies and procedures.
Liaising with service users’ GPs and other healthcare professionals involved such as occupational therapists, physiotherapists,
community nurses, etc.
Engaging in nurse care planning and implementation of Care Plans.
Working within the NMC codes of conduct and Scope of Practice and within the service's policies and procedures.
Continuously reviewing their own nursing practices to develop new skills and knowledge through continuous professional development
training that contributes to the enhancement of care skills.
Working closely with other members of the care team, ensuring that effective, high-quality care is given, to achieve planned goals.
Providing support and professional supervision to care staff and nursing assistants as appropriate.
Attending and participating in relevant staff meetings.
Making effective and efficient use of all Millennium Staffing Limited's resources.
Working in partnership with service users’ loved ones and representatives in planning, implementing and reviewing Care Plans.
Enabling service users to receive appropriate religious, cultural, emotional and psychological support.
Engaging in occasional 24-hour shift work if necessary
Assisting and caring for others: providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others
such as coworkers, clients, or patients.
Documenting and recording information: entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or
electronic/magnetic form.
Getting information: observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
Updating and using relevant knowledge: keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
Organising, planning, and prioritizing work and developing specific goals and plans to prioritise, organise, and accomplish your work.
Identifying objects, actions, and events: categorising, estimating, recognising differences or similarities between information, and
detecting changes in circumstances or events.
Key Qualities:
Minimum 1 years' experience in a nursing role
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
Good physical health and fitness;
Caring, compassionate nature;
