Preparation of non-gynaecological specimens for microscopic examination including the handling of potential high risk of samples in a microbiological safety cabinet whilst wearing appropriate PPE plus the use and programming of centrifuges prior to staining of prepared slides. To use material safety data sheet and COSH risk assessment in order to ensure that the risks involved in the use of hazardous substances are minimised. To stain slides using automated instruments.
