As Technical Lead, you will be responsible for driving the technical delivery of equipment from design to operation. This will include extensive collaboration inside and outside the business, and drafting technical documentation to define, communicate, track and deliver the project’s functional and technical requirements.
Technical leadership of process equipment delivery; driving projects from concept through to
completion. This is delivered through close collaboration and coordination; between internal teams
and external parties
Lead from the front: drive the completion of project goals on-site and in-person as required. This is
likely to include international travel to plant locations.
Analyse and Communicate project progress to internal and external stakeholders, using tools such as:
o System FMEA
o Mechanical Design modelling tools (CAD)
o Computer-based simulations
o Validation & verification testing; experiment design and execution
o Design-based safety & risk analysis
Task-based project management; scoping, forecasting, planning and tracking work packages including
resource identification & forecasting, time, cost and risk
Develop Systems Engineering processes, such as requirements management, validation
planning and acceptance criteria definition
Lead, review and deliver requirements management activities across various stages of the Process /
Plant development lifecycle. This will include capture and definition of requirements as well as
managing and communicating change
Coach, train and mentor others in business to develop the team’s understanding and capability in
Engineering principles, tools and methods
Support wider business improvement activities such as Quality, Safety and Operations; working with
other departments & stakeholders

Demonstrable and extensive experience in a relevant Engineering roles including positions of
technical leadership
This role requires international travel to plant locations and to suppliers on occasion
The ability to perform complex engineering analyses, such as chemical reaction kinetics, system sizing
models, assessing equipment performance to drive improvements.
Competent computer skills such as excel formulae, visio and CAD drafting software (company uses
SolidWorks)
Ability to assume responsibility, be flexible, perform duties and handle multiple tasks safely under
potentially stressful / time-constrained conditions
The ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with other individuals, teams,
customers, and stakeholders of the business, at various levels of the organization, in a business-like

Take initiative and be proactive in addressing issues. Quickly and efficiently complete tasks
Desirable Criteria:
Qualified, trained or experienced in technical disciplines related to the job such as
o Engineering System design e.g. v-model Systems Engineering
o Pressure and piping system engineering
o Electrical and control engineering
o Engineering for regulatory and standards compliance
o Engineering project management
o FMEA
o Problem solving methodologies
Experience in related industrial areas such as chemical plant, industrial equipment design, Pressure
systems, Piping systems, Electro-mechanical equipment design, DVP and Test methodologies.
